Airline Reward Cards
Airline reward credit cards give
you free airline miles for certain amounts of money spent. Usually
you are given one or two free miles per dollar spent through your credit
card and some give you bonus miles if money is spent during different
times of the year and some annually. Each airline has their own
unique reward card to collect free miles. So be sure you choose your
card according to the airline you will most frequently be flying with.
Other things to consider when choosing an airline reward credit card:
-
The miles you accrue on some
airline cards expire, others never expire. So depending on how
often you fly, you may want to choose one card over another.
-
Some airlines have an overall
limit on the amount of miles that can be accrued. If you are
flying frequently, you definitely don't want to hit your limit and
defeat the purpose of having an airline reward card.
-
Bonus air miles can be a big
help. Some cards only offer 2,000 bonus mile at signup, when
others offer 5,000 bonus miles annually.
